how is your day/week/month going?
I've been busy/lazy/stupid.
How come I haven't heard from you? Are your fingers broken? Were you trampled by stampeding zebras? Have you spontaneously developed a reading and writing disability?
If the answer is yes to any or all of the above, I'm very sorry to hear of your loss of fingers/limbs/brains.
I think we should catch up today/soon/before the end of 2007, because I miss your pretty/ugly face.
